Spine Slugs are parasitic yet harmless creatures which attach onto the organic tissue making up a Skakdi's spines. The slugs seem to be able to gain nourishment through the Skakdi's battle rage and some believe that the slugs actually feed that rage, causing the Skakdi to continue fighting and providing more nourishment.
