The Skyboard was a vehicle used by the Toa Ignika, allowing it to fly through the air. The Skyboard was created entirely by the Kanohi Ignika from organic molecules in the Swamp of Secrets. The Ignika needed to maintain concentration to keep the board in existence. Toa Ignika based the design of the Skyboard off of similar vehicles the Matoran of Mahri Nui possessed.
Toa Ignika controlled the board by willing it in the direction he wished it to go, rather than using any form of physical steering. As a result Toa Ignika was the only one in Karda Nui that could use the board effectively. The Skyboard was also capable of hovering in one spot without moving forwards.

When the Toa Ignika sacrificed itself to awaken Mata Nui, the Skyboard was destroyed, for it was no longer held together by the Ignika's will.
Set Information
The Skyboard was released as part of the Toa Ignika set in winter 2008. It features wings that fold in or out from the midsection of the vehicle and stationary landing gear on its underside. Two pins on the top allow the Toa Ignika figure to be attached.
