Saga Guide - History of Bara Magna.png
Bara Magna, now a planet

In the immediate aftermath of the Shattering, many were stranded from their homelands on other fragments of Spherus Magna such as Strakk who was stranded near Iconox where Metus was rapidly becoming the best seller of Exsidian on the new planet. Some Iron Tribe survivors, Sahmad and Telluris are stranded as well. Sahmad became an Agori slaver, driving his Baranus V7 chariot. The entity Annona hid underground, for fear of the Great Beings. Soon the tribes began fighting over resources, so Tarix, Vastus, and Certavus developed the Arena Matches using new Glatorian fighters. Tarix convinced the Glatorian to agree to the plan, and Ackar the Agori. In reaction to the disaster, the Sand Tribe began devolving, ending up as primal Vorox and Zesk, devoid of much intelligent thought or individual identity. North of the Black Spike Mountains, the Skrall race and their Rock Tribe following established an empire north of the other tribes, with the Sisters of the Skrall largely striking out on their own, forming a different society.

Resources slowly dwindled between the four tribes taking part in the Arena Match system. Certavus, the famed Ice Tribe Glatorian, passed away, leaving behind a book explaining is battle tactics that gets lost in a training abandoned area of the Wastelands. Telluris studied Skopio creatures and created the Skopio XV-1 machine and began attacking people traversing the desert with the Bone Hunters. The Great Tournament begins in the free city of Atero, and is won by Tarix and Vastus, among others.

Malum in combat against Strakk

Close to 100,000 years after the Shattering, a Skrall warrior patrol is attacked by Baterra, killing all but two warriors. One of the survivors told Skrall Leader Tuma about this, and is named Branar. More and more Baterra began to appear, killing all the leader Skrall except for Tuma. The Skrall empire is then largely reduced to a single fortress. As Tuma sent more Skrall parties to kill Baterra, Skrall kept dying rapidly. Stronius was the first to live and tell about killing a Baterra, and realizes they are machines and shapeshifters. A group of Skrall then brought wood into the Skrall Fortress that was Baterra in disguise, and a large battle started that resulted in the destruction of the fortress. Tuma, Stronius, Branar, and many others all escaped south to Roxtus, along with Atakus, who led the Rock Agori. Tuma then ordered 'Vorox runs' to use Vorox to test for Baterra presence.

Meanwhile, the Great Tournament is won by Tarix in the fighter division, and Crotesius in the vehicle division. Shortly after, the Skrall started to participate in the arena system, winning every match they take place in. A Skrall patrol is sent from the now heavily defended city of Roxtus to find the Book of Certavus. They fail, and are assigned to Spikit feeding duty and are eaten by the Spikit. Meanwhile, Malum, Vulcanus' secondary Glatorian, had attempted to kill Vastus in an arena match, but Strakk stopped him. Malum talked to Ackar about his growing rage, and began to fight dirtier and dirtier. Now in a match against Strakk, Malum tried to kill Strakk out of revenge. Gresh intervened this time, stopping Malum, who was then exiled. He then met with a group of Vorox and became their leader by defeating their old pack leader.
