History
The Rock Raptor species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
A colony of Raptors established themselves near the Sculpture Fields in the Po-Metru district of Metru Nui, where their diet consisted of large herd animals like Kikanalo and Kane-Ra.
Although Rock Raptors have never shown aggression to Matoran, during the Visorak invasion, the Raptors became hostile with anybody who would come close to them, due to the Roporak.
Abilities and Traits
Rock Raptors prey upon larger animals using a unique method. A Rock Raptor uses its tools to dig out caves in the mountains of Po-Metru as living space they share with Spiny Stone Apes. It can then use the same tools to weaken entire slopes and bring them down in a rain of stone upon their potential prey. Stunned, the larger creatures are then easy prey for the Raptor.
Set Information
The Rock Raptor can be built out of parts from Toa Hordika sets Matau and Onewa, using instructions split between the instruction manuals of the two sets. Gears on its hips allow one to operate its knee joints. Its back features a Rhotuka Launcher and silver Rhotuka spinner.
