History
Very little is known about the history of Nynrah. However, it is known that the Nynrah Ghosts once conducted an experiment on Nynrah in hope to create something which could protect them due to the lack of Toa at the time. The experiment resulted in failure and the mutation of a Nynrah Ghost who would later become a Dark Hunter known as Phantom.
After the creation of the Visorak on an island south of Nynrah, the island's original surviving inhabitants fled to Nynrah from the Rahi. They continued on from Nynrah to Stelt.
Nynrah is also the location where several prototype Zamor Launchers were kept. Nidhiki and Krekka stole the launchers from an armory on the island.
Later on, the Brotherhood of Makuta invaded the island, with the Order of Mata Nui unable to dislodge their forces. A fierce battle then took place between the Order and the Brotherhood, but the Order eventually claimed victory. Helryx then strode on the beach of Nynrah, picking up fragments of Rahkshi and attempting to find the source of the Energized Protodermis which created them through her Kanohi. She traced it to a new source she did not recognize, and left with Keetongu to this location.
Landscape
Details about the island's geography are scarce, but there is a steep cliff on the island. The island has a number of villages, although only one of them is occupied by the Nynrah Ghosts. In the Matoran village is an armory which once housed the stolen Zamor Launchers. The island also has a beach, where the Order fought against the Brotherhood.

Nynrah Ghosts
The Nynrah Ghosts are the only Matoran who live on Nynrah, although they are not the primary residents. The Nynrah Ghosts occupy only one village on the island, and are extremely skilled craftsmen.

Little is known of the primary inhabitants of Nynrah, except that they, like the Nynrah Ghosts, are crafters.
