Nuhvok Va are one of the six kinds of Bohrok Va.
Their purpose is to bring new Krana to Nuhvok who have lost theirs, as with all Bohrok Va. Dormant Krana that the Nuhvok Va carry become black.

History
The Nuhvok Va were brought into existence to aid the Bohrok in their quest to cleanse the island of Mata Nui. Upon creation, they went into hibernation within the Bohrok Nests, awaiting the time when they would called upon. After Teridax was defeated by the Toa Mata, he sent out a beacon, awakening the Bohrok. However, this was not the correct time for the Bohrok Swarms to clean Mata Nui, so they caused plenty of damage. The Toa Mata ended up fighting against the Nuhvok Va to protect the Matoran inhabitants.
During these battles, Onua took it upon him to protect his village, Onu-Koro, against the Bohrok. When he entered a cavern leading to the village, he found several Nuhvok attempting to collapse the cavern. Using a system of strategy, he disabled many of the Bohrok, and obtained their Krana. However, before he could finish, several Nuhvok Va entered the cavern and began screeching. Within seconds, the Bohrok responded to the retreat call, and left the cavern.
After many of these battles, the Toa succeeded in beating back the swarm, and defeated the Bohrok Queens, the Bahrag. The Bohrok and Bohrok Va began helping repair the damage they caused to the villages. While Matoran and Bohrok alike worked, the new Toa Nuva faced a greater threat, the Bohrok-Kal. With the choice of allying with them, the Bohrok turned against their allies. Yet again, the Toa won, and the Bohrok returned to hibernation, awaiting when they would be truly needed.
Soon after the Matoran evacuation of Mata Nui to Metru Nui, the Toa Nuva rearrived to the island, and awakened the Bohrok Swarms. United in duty, the Bohrok cleaned the island, meeting their only obstacle in the Kardas Dragon. After defeated the Rahi, the Bohrok finished their task, and returned to the nest, their duty done.
Abilities and Traits
They are not natural at heavy digging, however they are capable of burrowing out of most situations. The Nuhvok Va are normally spotted in distant shadows, moving with a quick scamper then a pause to listen. They are also capable of seeing in the dark and squeezing through gaps that would be thought impossible.
Tools
Nuhvok Va used Claws, which replaced their hands for carving tunnels and defensive purposes.
Set Information
The Nuhvok Va appeared as a set in Spring 2002, along with the other five Bohrok Va. It contained 26 pieces. The set included a black Krana, the dormant Krana of Nuhvok. It also featured a promotional release with Kabaya sweets in Japan.
The pieces from Nuhvok Va can be joined together with pieces from Kohrak Va to make a Mata Nui Fishing Bird.
