Nova Blast

A Nova Blast is when a Toa exerts all of their Elemental Energy at once, releasing an extremely powerful explosion of that Element. Although the effects will vary, it is known that the blast radius of a blast released by an average Toa will encompass an area larger than the city of Metru Nui. Once a Toa has done one of these, they cannot use Elemental powers until their Elemental Energy has recharged.

Toa rarely use this ability, and only then as a last resort, as it is incredibly dangerous and is likely to kill anyone in the radius, as well as destroy any nearby structures.

Example Usage

• Gali Nuva unleashed a Water Nova Blast, drawing in all the moisture from the air for hundreds of kio around and releasing it along with all of her Water powers at once, leveling all of Karzahni in the process.

Trivia

• This was first seen in BIONICLE: The Game as a 'Nuva Blast', but was later confirmed by Greg Farshtey as 'Nova Blast', which any Toa could perform.
• Toa Hordika cannot perform Nova Blasts as they lack the focus necessary for it, although they can charge their Rhotuka to near-Nova Blast levels. However, they risk losing control at that point.
• Turaga are unable to perform Nova Blasts, as they lack the power needed.
• Toa Vakama once considered unleashing a Fire Nova Blast against the Fire Entity, but was reminded that his friends would be killed by the vast amount of power.
• Although the Toa Ignika was not a real Toa, he could perform a Life Nova Blast.
• A maskless Toa can perform a Nova Blast, although it would be significantly weakened.
