History
The Niazesk species was created by Makuta Bitil using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe. The other Makuta spread them all across the Matoran Universe in order to keep larger Rahi under control. The surviving Niazesk emigrated to Spherus Magna.
Mutated Niazesk
Mutran took several of these Rahi to Karda Nui when the Makuta invaded it. They were mutated by the swamp water in the Swamp of Secrets.
A group of Niazesk spotted Takanuva, Gali, and Pohatu flying through the swamp, and went to attack them. These Niazesk were defeated by Takanuva's Shadow Blasts. They were killed when the Energy Storms struck.
Abilities and Traits
The Niazesk have the task of keeping larger Rahi in check by using their venomous bites and stings.
The mutated Niazesk which encountered swamp water were enlarged several times their original size, and had their venom strengthened. After being mutated, they were roughly seven feet (2.1 meters) tall.
Set Information
A Niazesk can be built out of parts from the Pohatu Nuva, Vamprah, and Toa Ignika sets. Instructions to build it were included in the May-June 2008 issue of LEGO Brickmaster magazine.
