Lightning Bugs are small blue, yellow, or purple insects.
History
While under the influence of Teridax, a number of Lightning Bugs lived in the Nui-Rama Hive.
When the captive Matoran of Le-Koro were working in the hive, each was monitored by a Lightning Bug. On the occasion that one would falter, they would be shocked until they resumed their mining.
Their most prominent role in the story came when Onua arrived to remove Lewa's Infected Kanohi. One of them was hiding in the rocks and crawled onto Onua's shoulder, which he lifted using his Kanohi Matatu, and was sent flying towards Lewa, knocking the infected mask off.
Abilities and Traits
Lightning Bugs can generate a mild electrical shock.
