Lava Crawlers are large, six-legged crawling Rahi native to the areas around Mount Valmai on the Southern Continent. A few were domesticated and modified by the Piraka into Caravan Crawlers, on which part of the shell is hewn away to accommodate a Zamor Launcher and potentially a rider.
Lava Crawlers on Voya Nui may not have survived the island's trip back to the Southern Continent.

A Caravan Crawler could be built using parts from the Piraka Outpost and Lava Chamber Gate playsets and instructions from the September-October 2006 issue of LEGO Brickmaster magazine. Its Zamor Launcher featured a cartridge piece that increased its capacity to four Antidermis Zamor Spheres.
