The Hikaki, also known as Dragon Lizards, are small creatures resembling dragons. Hikaki lived in the region surrounding the Mangai Volcano. They seemed to thrive amidst the molten lava, and there is an old Matoran legend that says that the Hikaki actually feed on the fire. As with many other creatures of Mata Nui, the Hikaki is dangerous mainly when its nest is disturbed.
In Metru Nui, the Hikaki dwell in the Foundries of Ta-Metru, sharing their territory with the Furnace Salamander.
Hikaki also live on the Southern Continent, and the ones on Voya Nui may not have survived the island's decent to the Mainland.

The Hikaki was released as part of the BIONICLE Master Builder set. It used 73 of the set's 102 pieces. Spinning its tail would make its neck slowly move up or down.
