The Fields of Airweed is an area adjacent to Mahri Nui. It contains Airweed, a sea weed from which air can be harvested. When Mahri Nui fell down the fields were disturbed and air released so that the Matoran were able to survive. The Mahri Nui Matoran later tamed Rahi called Hydruka to harvest the air bubbles. Carapar sent his Keras Crabs to occupy the fields during the Barraki's search for the Kanohi Ignika, which were soon driven out by the Toa Mahri.
