The Dweller in the Deep is a mythical sea creature said to live at the very bottom of the Silver Sea. It was said to be the only being to prey on Tarakava, though it preferred Great Temple Squid more. When Nokama was searching the sea for the Ga-Metru Great Disk, she found it in the jaws of the Dweller in the Deep. It chased her to the surface. Passersby saw only a gigantic, sleek shape and a wicked jaw that apparently was large enough to swallow the Great Temple whole. It has since returned to its home beneath the sea.
