Colony Drones' Rhotuka spinners are made of an energy that the Visorak can feed off of. When Visorak armies would migrate to new lands, they would take along many of these Rahi and ensure their safety.

The Drones never objected to their treatment because they are either not intelligent enough to know they are being mistreated, or they simply were intimidated by the Visorak for so long that they knew no other way of life. Since the Visorak went to the island of Artidax, the Colony Drones were abandoned and are now free.

The Colony Drone can be built out of the Rahaga sets Norik, Iruini, and Bomonga. It features a Rhotuka Launcher on its back which fires a dark red Rhotuka spinner.
