The Chamber of Death is a room located on the 777 Stairs down to the Chamber of Life. It was created by the Great Beings. The Toa Inika passed through this room during their journey to the Chamber, and were demanded to sacrifice one of their members in order to continue. Matoro volunteered and was killed, but was shortly resurrected, as the room was only to test the courage of those who sought the Mask of Life.
The room is described to have Lightstones in it, which give off a red glow.
