Biography
Metru Nui
On Metru Nui, Brander worked in one of the Ta-Metru Foundries. During the attack of the Morbuzakh, Toa Metru Vakama asked him about Nuhrii while he was searching for him. Brander did not believe that the tall Toa was Vakama, so he gave Vakama a test. Vakama had to identify the mask with a flaw. He passed the test, gaining Brander's trust, and receiving information on Nuhrii.
Brander was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.
Mata Nui
Brander lost memories of his life prior to their arrival on Mata Nui and he was diminished in size and strength due to the effects of the Matoran Sphere. He helped in the construction of Ta-Koro, guided by Turaga Vakama and making use of parts of the disassembled Airships used by the Toa to transport the Matoran to Mata Nui. Brander wore a Kakama in Metru Nui but it was replaced by a black Huna on Mata Nui. Brander later became a Crafter on Mata Nui.
Following the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal, Brander was rebuilt into a form resembling the one he had held before being confined in a Matoran Sphere. During the Rahkshi attack on Mata Nui, Brander was evacuated from Ta-Koro with the other Matoran when they destroyed the village.
Return to Metru Nui
Brander aided in the construction of Boats to return to Metru Nui. Following the arrival of the Matoran, Brander participated in the mass effort to restore the city to its original state.
Brander's life under Teridax's rule was stopped when the Makuta was killed as a result of damage to the Great Spirit Robot during the Battle of Bara Magna. All the surviving Matoran of Metru Nui, including Brander, then relocated to Spherus Magna.
