Bohrok-Kal Strike
From BIONICLEsector01
"The heart of the Toa Nuva's power lies their villages. Steal that heart, and they will be unable to stop us. They do not know we are here. They do not know why. And when they do... it will already be too late."

History
Awakening
After the Bahrag were imprisoned, they sent a telepathic signal, awaking six elite Bohrok from their hibernation. Acting as a failsafe, the Bohrok-Kal were summoned with the specific mission of finding and freeing the queens of the swarms. They began by secretly planning in a cave, discussing how to best handle the Toa Nuva. They knew that the Toa Nuva's power was linked to their Nuva Symbols, and that the symbols could also serve as a key to the Toa Seal, the "lock" to the Bahrag's Protodermis prison. They decided that each of them would secretly infiltrate the villages with the help of the Bohrok Va, and steal the Nuva Symbols of each Toa Nuva.
Theft of the Nuva Symbols
The strike began with Kohrak-Kal and Nuhvok-Kal striking in Ko-Koro. As Nuhvok-Kal used its power of Gravity to pin Matoro down, Kohrak-Kal snatched Kopaka's Nuva Symbol from Ko-Suva. During the attack, Kopaka Nuva was crossing a crevice on an ice bridge; when his Nuva Symbol was stolen, he lost his control over his Elemental Power and fell, barely saving himself with his Ice Blade. Turaga Nuju later rescued him through the use of his Noble Kanohi Matatu.
During the theft at Ko-Koro, Jaller and Takua, returning to Ta-Koro from the Attack on Ga-Koro, came across Tahnok-Kal. The Bohrok-Kal of Lightning deflected Jaller's bamboo disk and trapped Jaller in an electrical field. Before any of the Ta-Koro Guard or Takua could do anything, Tahnok-Kal bounded over them all with Tahu's Nuva Symbol in its claws. It was intercepted by the Toa Nuva of Fire, who prepared to do battle. Instead, Tahnok-Kal blasted a stone archway overhead Tahu with lightning, but as Tahu prepared to defend himself, his Kanohi Nuva turned silver and his power over fire left him, limiting him to creating small puffs of smoke from his Magma Swords. Unable to protect himself, Tahu was buried under the crumbled archway, and Tahnok-Kal made its escape.
Meanwhile, Lewa fell out of a tree while demonstrating his new Air powers when his Nuva Symbol was stolen. However, Kongu and his Gukko, Ka, caught the Toa Nuva of Air. Pohatu faced a similar predicament when Pahrak-Kal stole his symbol. In addition, Gali was nearly drowned by a tidal wave when her power of Water and her Nuva Symbol were stolen were stolen by Lehvak-Kal. Onua also found that he had lost his power of Earth when his Nuva Symbol was stolen.
Gathering of the Toa Nuva
After Tahu emerged from the rubble, Turaga Vakama went to the Sacred Fire and received a vision of what the thieves were. He then explained that it was the six Bohrok Kal who had taken his Nuva Symbol. Tahu then left with Jaller and Takua to search for Tahnok-Kal and Tahu's symbol. Along the way, they traveled through Le-Wahi and were astonished to find Lewa fall flat on the ground from a tree. The Toa of Air explained that he had been chasing a Bohrok, and Tahu informed him of the Bohrok-Kal. Lewa then told them how before he fell, he felt extremely heavy, which, unknown to him, was due to Nuhvok-Kal's Gravity power. The two Toa Nuva and Matoran then continued into Po-Wahi.
As they were walking across the sands, they heard some Mahi bleating. Following the sound, they discovered Toa Nuva Pohatu covered with magnetized Mahi. After Takua and Jaller pulled the Rahi off of Pohatu, he joined their group, and continued across the Motara Desert. Eventually, Gali, Onua, and Kopaka all joined up with the group as well, as they traversed Mata Nui.
First Battle Against the Bohrok-Kal
Soon, the Toa Nuva crossed paths with the Bohrok-Kal. They demanded that the Toa Nuva tell them where the Bahrag were imprisoned and then move aside. Lewa quickly refused and lunged forward, believing the Bohrok-Kal could be beaten as easily as any other Bohrok. However, before he could strike, Gahlok-Kal magnetized his feet to the ground. As that happened, Onua hefted a huge boulder to quickly end the oncoming battle; however, Pahrak-Kal hurled a blast of Plasma from his shields, vaporizing the rock.
Tahu then activated his Hau Nuva to protect the remaining Toa Nuva and told the Bohrok-Kal that the Bahrag were no longer on Mata Nui, for the Toa Nuva had no knowledge of where the Bahrag's prison was. Nuhvok-Kal replied by using its Gravity power to increase Tahu gravity by a factor of one hundred, slamming him into the ground. This forced him to deactivate his Kanohi Nuva leaving the other Toa Nuva vulnerable. Tahnok-Kal, Kohrak-Kal, and Lehvak-Kal then combined their powers and attacked the Toa before they could mount a defense, knocking them unconscious.
Subsequent Battles
After they awakened, Tahu decided that Gali, Pohatu, and Onua would return to the Bohrok Nests to investigate what happened to the Bahrag, while Tahu, Kopaka, and Lewa followed the Bohrok-Kal to try and slow them down. In addition, Onua advised the whole team to search for Kanohi Nuva, as they were the only power the Toa Nuva could still use.
Tahu had gone looking for the Kanohi in the Le-Wahi area, having heard that at least two could be found there. Learning of his arrival, Lewa came upon the Toa of Fire and offered to be a guide. Tahu had become somewhat suspicious of Lewa during the last few weeks, as he had been enslaved by a Krana for some time before his rescue. He reasoned that Lewa may have been influenced in a way and still show effects. While they searched, traces of Nuhvok-Kal were sighted, as trees were uprooted from the ground and laid across the path the two Toa trekked. Both Toa then began a plan to trap the Bohrok-Kal while it was wandering through the jungle. Lewa gained the help of some Le-Matoran, and Tahu went out to find Nuhvok-Kal.
Tahu lured the Nuhvok-Kal through the jungle with taunts; eventually Tahu was forced to take to the trees, swinging on vines. When he was out in the clearing where the trap was laid, he let go of the vines, ending up on the ground. Lewa quickly assisted him to a hiding place just as Nuhvok-Kal entered the clearing as well. Lewa then gave the signal and the villagers charged the creature with rocks, nets, and disks. This effect confused the Bohrok-Kal, as it was forced to use its gravity on all the objects lest it get hit. This took a toll on Nuhvok-Kal, draining most of its power. At this point Lewa attacked the Bohrok-Kal, attempting to take its Krana; before he could, however, Nuhvok-Kal rooted the Toa of Air to the ground with increased gravity. Tahu then sprang into action and made a daring rescue for his brother, distracting the Bohrok-Kal by hitting rocks toward it. Though Lewa was saved, Nuhvok-Kal escaped, bringing down trees behind it to slow pursuit. Both the Toa found the Kanohi sometime later, and because of their experience, also found friendship.
Tahu attacked the Bohrok-Kal twice, in an attempt to defeat them. In one fight he had found the Pahrak-Kal in Ta-Wahi and charged the creature all on his own. The Toa, much weaker then the Bohrok-Kal because of his condition, was defeated easily. Jaller, who had come to his aid, pleaded with the Toa to stop fighting a battle he could not win as he would surely be killed, and to put his pride away. The Toa complied even with taunts by Pahrak-Kal. While the Bohrok was distracted because of boasting however, Jaller surprised the creature, and leaped on him to rip the Krana-Kal from his plated head. The Pahrak-Kal was soon reassembled though, with the support of the Bohrok-Va, returning a new Krana to the creature.
Another attempt by the Toa of Fire was attacking Nuhvok-Kal with a small army of Tahnok. This battle ended shortly though, as the Bohrok-Kal simply took away the gravity that surrounded the Bohrok, letting them float into space. It then increased the gravity around Tahu, making the Toa of Fire unable to move.
In another attempt to stop the Bohrok-Kal, Lewa, Gali and Kopaka Nuva joined together to form the Toa Kaita Nuva and attacked Lehvak-Kal, Gahlok-Kal and Kohrak-Kal. However, the attack was foiled by the Bohrok-Kal as the three formed their own Kaita and promptly defeated the Toa. The three Bohrok then separated and continued on their mission.
One successful attack on the Kal was when Pohatu and Onua faced Tahnok-Kal. Onua tempted the Bohrok into battle; to this, the creature responded by firing electricity at the Toa. Right before the energy struck Onua, Pohatu kicked a mirror-like stone in front of Onua. Rather than shock Onua, the lightning hit the rock and reflected back toward the Bohrok-Kal, hitting a tree which fell on top of the creature's head. The Toa then took the creature's Krana-Kal and spoke with it.
Nokama soon arrived to confirm what they had learned from the Krana: The Bohrok-Kal were heading to free the Bahrag, and they were close to finding them. She had learned this when a squad of Boxor surprised a Kal and retrieved its Krana as well. After the three discussed this turn of events, the Tahnok-Kal's body disappeared, and they realized the Bohrok-Va must be helping them.
Final Battle
The Toa Nuva united and followed the trails of the Bohrok-Kal until they arrived at a tunnel entrance made by Pahrak-Kal. It led into a cave where the Toa Nuva found a hole which led to the Bahrag's lair. Inside the lair, Lewa witnessed the destroying of many Exo-Toa, as they were attempting to defend the Nuva Cube from the Bohrok-Kal. The Bohrok-Kal prepared to awake the Bahrag queens, and, by the time that the Toa Nuva entered the chamber, the Bohrok-Kal had already touched the Bahrag's Protodermis cage with their Krana-Kal.
Tahu called upon the power of the Kanohi Vahi, slowing down the time around the Bohrok-Kal. The Toa Nuva attempted to retrieve the symbols, but the Bohrok-Kal's Krana-Kal turned silver and it created a shield blocking them from outside harm. Seeing that the plan did not work, Gali conceived a new idea, which consisted of the Toa Nuva reaching out to their Nuva Symbols, channeling their Elemental Powers through the Bohrok-Kal. The plan was successful, and the excess of power was too much power for the Bohrok-Kal to control and they fell to their own power. The Bahrag remained confined in their prison, and the Krana-Kal were later captured by the Turaga, ending the Bohrok-Kal Strike.
