The Archives Beast was a bizarre Rahi found in the lower levels of the Great Archives. The Onu-Matoran believed it had some connection to the random reconstitution Kanoka power. This Rahi had the ability to take on the shape of almost anything. When Toa Whenua and Toa Nuju came into its cell in search of the Onu-Metru Great Disk, the Rahi had taken on the appearance of an empty room. Toa Nuju dissuaded the Rahi from trapping them by creating a blizzard in the cell.
