Karzahni's island status and connection to Metru Nui

As I recall no official source calls Karzahni an island. (The only thing that hints at that is the MU map.) In fact here's an interesting Greg quote:

8. Is Karzahni's realm an island? If not, what would you describe it as?

8) I wouldn't describe it an island, no, maybe more like an isthmus

[1]

Does BL2 give any insights into how Karzahni is connected to Metru Nui's dome (this page says peninsula, Matoran Universe says isthmus) or what the realm is on (island, isthmus, or something else)? If not are there more Greg quotes on the subject? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 03:58, 3 May 2017 (CET)

According to the BIONICLE: World, it is an island. — SurelNuva (Talk) 08:24, 3 May 2017 (CET)
BW never calls Karzahni an island. The closest it says is the following, on page 17: "Situated in a rarely traveled area south of the island city of Metru Nui, Karzahni was created along with Artakha in the first days of the universe. At the time, it could be reached by sea as well as by land, but the water routes have long since dried up. The region is now landlocked and the sole surviving access route is treacherous in the extreme." It also notes that "Karzahni rests in the middle of a bowl-shaped canyon" on page 19. There are multiple explanations consistent with this. It could have been located on an island or an isthmus, but the ocean in its dome dried up, so it became landlocked. Alternatively the whole dome of Karzahni may have not had ocean to begin with, but instead rivers connecting to oceans in other domes cut into Karzahni's domes, and those dried out. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 17:42, 3 May 2017 (CET)
