Set Information

The Toa Vakama set was released in early 2004 as one of the six Toa Metru sets. The set consists of forty-eight pieces.

By combining pieces from Toa Vakama with 8604 Toa Onewa and 8605 Toa Matau, one can build the Kralhi. Another combiner model, Krahka, can be built using pieces from all six Toa Metru sets.

Plans were made to distribute an exclusive version of Toa Vakama at the 2004 San Diego Comic-Con with a special Comic-Con disk. Due to a production error, the Comic-Con promotion did not occur, but versions of the Toa Vakama set advertising the exclusive disk were still produced.

Features

By turning a knob in Vakama's back, his arms will swing up and down. Vakama also carries a Kanoka Launcher, which could be used to fire Kanoka disks by squeezing its sides. The Kanoka Launcher could also be attached to Vakama's back, either for storage or to be used as a jetpack.

The lid of Toa Vakama's canister can be attached to the lid of another Toa Metru set's canister to form a Matoran Sphere.

Some copies of the set included Vakama's Toa Metru Mini Promo CD.

Collectibles

Vakama wears a dark red Great Huna. This set also included a transparent red Kanoka disk with black printing, featuring Vakama's mask and name.
