Sand Screamers are mysterious Rahi previously found on Voya Nui and the Southern Continent.
History
The Sand Screamer species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[2]
A population of Sand Screamers resided on the Southern Continent, and were carried with the island of Voya Nui when it broke off from the mainland during the Great Cataclysm. They resided here for 1,000 years, and primarily lived in the Desert of Sorrows.[3] When the Toa Mahri destroyed the Cord and sent Voya Nui back to its place on the Southern Continent, some of the Sand Screamers may not have survived the descent.[4]
After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, the surviving Sand Screamers left the Matoran Universe and immigrated to Spherus Magna.[1]
Abilities and Traits
The Sand Screamer is known to often make agonized shrieks and leave tracks, although these tracks vanish within seconds. No Matoran has ever seen a Sand Screamer, but evidence shows that they are capable of bringing down larger beasts.[3]
