The Masks of Jungle are Masks of Power which hold the element of Jungle.

History

The Creature Mask of Jungle came into existence with Uxar during the creation of Okoto.

During Okoto's golden age, Ekimu created the Protector Mask of Jungle, which was passed down among the Protectors of the Jungle Tribe. After learning of the coming disaster, Ekimu bid Protector Agarak retrieve an Elemental Crystal from Uxar, with which he forged the Golden Mask of Jungle. The Golden Mask of Jungle was hidden in the Jungle Shrine in the Region of Jungle.

Lewa wore the Mask of Jungle when he arrived on Okoto 1,000 years later. Protector Vizuna guided him to the Jungle Shrine, where he retrieved the Golden Mask of Jungle. Later, Kulta destroyed the Golden Mask of Jungle with the Mask Stealer Staff.

After being awoken by the Toa, Ekimu forged the Unity Mask of Jungle for Lewa. Lewa sought out Uxar's temple and retrieved the Golden Unity Mask of Jungle, which allowed him to unite with Uxar.

Versions

Different versions of the Mask of Jungle exist. Each mask provides the user some measure of control over jungle.

Set Information

A 14 karat gold version of the Mask of Jungle was displayed at New York Comic Con 2014.

The Protector Mask of Jungle was released in 70778 Protector of Jungle, and the Mask of Jungle and the Golden Mask of Jungle were released in 70784 Lewa - Master of Jungle in the winter wave of 2015. The drained Mask of Jungle was released in 70792 Skull Slicer in the summer wave of 2015.

The Creature Mask of Jungle was released in 71300 Uxar Creature of Jungle, and the Unity Mask of Jungle and the Golden Unity Mask of Jungle were released in 71305 Lewa Uniter of Jungle in the winter wave of 2016.

• On BIONICLE.com, Lewa's and Vizuna's Masks of Jungle were referred to as Jungle Masks.
