Longfang

Longfangs are large reptilian Rahi.
History
The Longfang species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[2]
On Metru Nui, Longfangs lived in Onu-Metru, especially the Archives. After the Great Cataclysm, most of the smaller Rahi that made up their diet fled, forcing the Longfangs to move up onto the surface of the city to hunt. Turaga Dume tried to convince the Rahaga to capture the Longfangs, but the Rahaga refused, insisting that the Rahi had become part of Metru Nui's natural ecosystem.[3]
After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, all surviving Longfangs left the Matoran Universe and immigrated to Spherus Magna.[1]
Abilities and Traits
Longfangs are about seven feet long, with short, powerful jaws filled with many rows of sharp teeth. They prefer to feed on smaller creatures, but, if hungry enough, will go after larger prey.[3]
