N/A 1 Prologue: The Legend Begins March 4, 2016 12 minutes, 24 seconds
Narmoto, the Protector of Fire, tells some young Okotans the story of the Toa awakening Ekimu and recovering the Mask of Creation. He begins by speaking of Makuta's Betrayal, the forgery of the Mask of Ultimate Power, and the corruption of Makuta. Following the defeat of Makuta, Narmoto says, Ekimu was laid to rest and the Masks of Power were hidden.

But Makuta's spirit summoned the Skull Spiders to awaken his body and destroy the Masks of Power. In fear, the Protectors performed the rite to summon the Toa. They came: the playful Lewa, the brooding Pohatu, the fearless Kopaka, the resilient Gali, the immovable Onua, and their leader, Tahu. These Toa, with their Protectors, found their Golden Masks of Power and obtained greater mastery of their elements.

The Toa went to the City of the Mask Makers, defeating the Skull Slicer, Skull Warriors, and Skull Scorpios and awoke Ekimu from his sleep. Ekimu led the Toa to the Temple of Creation. After beating Skull Basher, they invaded the forge where they found Kulta, the Skull Grinder, attempting to destroy the Mask of Creation. Seeing the Toa, Kulta donned the mask and tried to destroy them. Despite having their Golden Masks knocked off, the Toa stalled until Ekimu could rebuild the Hammer of Power, defeat Kulta, and take back the Mask of Creation.

But the adventures of the Toa are not done. With new masks and new armor forged by Ekimu, they prepare to set out on a new journey.

1 2 Episode 1: Quest for Unity March 4, 2016 21 minutes, 38 seconds
Melum, the Elemental Creature of Ice, glides along ice paths under his own power. As he skates out of view, Umarak, the Hunter and two ice Shadow Traps step out of the shadows.

In the Mask Makers' City, Ekimu is telling the Toa of the journey ahead when the city is attacked by Skull Spiders and Skull Warriors. Under the encouragement of Ekimu, the Toa use their newfound elemental powers to defeat the Skull Creatures. The Toa then use their powers to see visions of the Elemental Creatures under attack by Umarak's Shadow Traps. The Toa depart to find the Creatures.

Before long, each of the Toa find their Elemental Creatures who immediately start competing or fighting with their respective Toa. As Lewa is racing with Uxar, Creature of Jungle, several Shadow Traps capture the Creature and summon Umarak. When the Hunter arrives, he forces the Creature to unite with him, revealing the location of the Labyrinth of Control, hiding spot of the Mask of Control. Just as the Hunter is about to see the location, Lewa swoops in, forcing the two apart. The two fight until Lewa opens the trees, shining sunlight on the Hunter and forcing him to retreat. Lewa and Uxar make peace and resume their path toward the temple.

Meanwhile, the other Toa are still fighting their Creatures until each of them realize they should work with their creatures rather than against them. They regard the Creatures as equals who in turn lead them to their temples. Only Pohatu refuses to accept his Creature, Ketar, as a friend.

The Toa find the Golden Masks of Unity in their temples and replace their normal masks with those. Each of the Toa unites with their Creatures to receive the location of the Labyrinth of Control. The Toa return to Ekimu with Pohatu the last to arrive, disunited with Ketar. They agree to get some rest and then set out for the Mask of Control.

2 3 Episode 2: Trials of the Toa March 4, 2016 21 minutes, 38 seconds
In the City of the Mask Makers, Ekimu tells the Toa they must recover the Mask of Control from the Labyrinth of Control, lest the forces of Makuta get there first. Nearby, the spirit of Makuta orders Umarak to take one of the Elemental Creatures and seize the mask. Umarak states that he will find the weakest link and exploit it.

As the Toa arrive at jungle, Kopaka suggests Lewa lead the way, but Lewa abstains in favor of the Creatures. They start walking, but the Creatures begin panicking. A fire bolt strikes Tahu and a Shadow Trap leaps out, attacking Ikir. Under fire from Umarak, the Toa scramble to protect their Creatures with the exception of Pohatu who leaves Onua to save Ketar. Satisfied, Umarak retreats and the Toa start off again.

As they come within sight of the Labyrinth which is situated on an island, most of the Toa unite with their Creatures and race for the island. The Toa land at the island with the last to arrive being Onua, who'd helped the abandoned Ketar across. The Toa reprimand Pohatu for leaving his Creature behind, but Pohatu tells them that he will only unite with Ketar in case of an emergency.

The Toa enter the maze and make their way to the center, assaulted by slabs of rocks and moving walls. At the center of the maze, they are instructed by carvings to stand in areas corresponding to their element and the regions of Okoto. One-by-one, the Toa unite with their creatures and walk through individual doors to the chamber beneath. Ketar prods Pohatu, but before the hesitant Toa can unite Ketar, Umarak attacks, firing a Shadow Trap at the Toa and forcing Ketar to unite with him. Umarak hurls a rock slab at Pohatu and rushes into the lower chamber.

Down below, Umarak attacks the Toa and destroys the crystal holding the Mask of Control as the Labyrinth of Control starts caving in. Before the Toa can recover, Umarak flies out of a hole in the ceiling and on top of the maze, near the cliffs. Pohatu jumps after him as Ketar forces Umarak to disunite with him. The Mask of Control is knocked away from Umarak and Pohatu starts to run for the Mask, only for Umarak to drop Ketar off the cliff. Pohatu saves Ketar, allowing Umarak to make off with the Mask of Control. Pohatu apologizes to Ketar for his behavior and to the Toa for letting Umarak get away. The Toa come together and swear to recover the Mask.

Elsewhere, Umarak meets with Makuta to show off his victory. He replaces his mask with the Mask of Control, only for Makuta to seize control of him and transform him into Umarak, the Destroyer.

3 1 Episode 3: Destroyer's Game July 29, 2016 21 minutes, 38 seconds
Having been mutated into the Destroyer, Umarak is ordered by Makuta to summon the Shadow Horde but not to lead them into battle; instead he is to seek out the pieces of the Mask of Ultimate Power. Umarak employs his newfound power to turn three kinds of his Shadow Traps into the Elemental Beasts: Lava Beasts, Storm Beasts, and Quake Beasts. The Toa and Elemental Creatures, making their way back to the City of the Mask Makers, come across a village in the Region of Jungle that the Lava Beasts have decimated and quickly make their way back to the city. They find Ekimu at his forge, which he reveals is also an ancient temple, and learn that he is aware of what has transpired since their departure. The Shadow Horde then arrives and begins attacking, and the Toa are initially on the ropes due to their enemies' ability to reform after being defeated.

After Tahu's mask is briefly stolen, the Toa discover that the key to defeating the beasts for good is smashing their masks, which allows them to gain a foothold in the battle. They split into teams with Tahu and Kopaka, Gali and Lewa, and Onua and Pohatu facing different groups of creatures, but Onua eventually breaks away from the battle to seek out Ekimu. The Mask Maker informs Onua of the need to leave the city and seek out Umarak to prevent him from freeing Makuta. As Onua leaves to rejoin the others, Ekimu summons Agil, the Creature of Light. He enters a chamber in his forge and is transformed into a Toa-sized figure infused with the power of Light.

The Toa succeed in defeating the first wave of Elemental Beasts and are then informed by Onua that they needed to leave, learning that the Elemental Creatures will defend the city in their absence. Ekimu then arrives, introduces Agil to the Toa, and reveals that his forge was built atop the Temple of Light, leading Gali to suggest that he is the Toa of Light, which he denies. The Elemental Creatures then attack the next wave of the Shadow Horde with the aid of the Okotans as the Toa and Ekimu depart the city. From Agil, they learn that Umarak has collected fragments of the Mask of Ultimate Power and is heading to free Makuta from the Shadow Realm, and they quickly make their way to the Black Crater in hopes to stop him. Elsewhere, Umarak arrives at the Black Crater and begins creating a dark mountain atop which the portal of Makuta's escape will form.

4 2 Episode 4: The Dark Portal July 29, 2016 21 minutes, 38 seconds
Ekimu and the Toa make their way into the Region of Stone, where Ekimu reveals how Makuta came to be trapped in the Shadow Realm. Having always been jealous of Ekimu's masks, Makuta attempted to create masks that combined multiple elements, but even those with only two powers were dangerous. Undeterred, Makuta created the Mask of Ultimate Power, which he donned in the Capital City believing that it would enable his ascent to godhood. However, Ekimu had attacked his enlarged brother and knocked the mask off of his face, and the sheer power contained by the mask had caused it to explode, opening a portal to the Shadow Realm. As a result, both Makuta and the capital were drawn into that dark dimension and Ekimu was left comatose.

Ekimu then reveals that only the combination of all six elements can open another portal and enable Makuta's escape, which is why Umarak had gathered the fragments of the Mask of Ultimate Power. Accompanied by Agil, he and the Toa then intercept Umarak on his way to the top of the dark mountain, only for him to summon more Elemental Beasts to impede their progress. After a brief struggle in which Ekimu fares poorly, Pohatu channels the power of his element to defeat the force, as well as clearing a path to continue their pursuit of Umarak. Umarak arrives at the summit and is contacted by Makuta through the forming portal and directed to set the mask's fragments around the portal, and does so only for the Toa to arrive to confront him. However, the Toa then discover that they are cut off from Okoto's elements on the mountain, while Umarak's shadow powers have been strengthened and he is able to ensnare them.

Ekimu soon arrives to aid the heroes, and combines forces with Agil to unleash a blast of Light that frees the Toa and temporarily weakens Umarak while also returning Ekimu to his normal form and causing Agil to disappear. Gali then attempts to steal the mask fragments, but her spirit is drawn out of her body and into the Shadow Realm, where she spots Makuta and his minions. The other Toa continue to battle Umarak, who telekinetically sends their weapons to the Shadow Realm and claims that he has absorbed Ekimu's Light power, which will enable him to complete the portal and mocks Ekimu's act. Gali, traveling through the corrupted Capital City, witnesses Makuta gloating to his minions in the Shadow Realm and overhears him say that the Prophecy of Heroes, the entirety of which Ekimu cannot reveal, is the key to the true power of the Toa.

Gali finds the full prophecy recorded and learns what the Toa must do, and escapes the Shadow Realm when Makuta sacrifices Umarak to complete his portal. As the dark titan begins to emerge, Gali reveals what she has learned: that Okoto pulls the Toa's elemental powers from them, not the other way around. As such, they can defeat Makuta by uniting their powers, but in doing so they will be forced to return to the stars; however, all agree that it is a worthwhile sacrifice, and combine their energies. After a brief struggle Makuta is defeated and sealed in the Shadow Realm once more while the Toa are transported back to the stars as Ekimu watches.

Back in the now peaceful City of the Mask Makers, Protector Izotor shares the tale of their victory and expresses the hope that they will return should they ever be needed again.
