This is a picture of a galaxy. The poorly rendered one from TLR. What is this doing as the picture for Solis Magna? —Planetperson 06:29, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

Well, I always considered the beginning of the TLR as non-canon. (the island of Mata Nui wasn't cleaned; the Aqua Magna had some other island-like things on itself; the Aqua Magna was in a different Galaxy, not next to the Bara Magna) If we consider the real things canon, that picture, along with the other planet images from the TLR, should't have been in the movie, because the Ignika didn't fly in the space enough time to meet only 1 planet (and it just might be, for it could meet the Bota Magna, while some character saw how it arrived on the planet), for after it was banished from the MU and left the Aqua Magna's atmosphere, it was pulled by the Bara Magna's force of gravity, so can't fly through space and galaxies if it was next to a larger planet with stronger gravity field, which already made the planet (where it was launched) orbit around itself.
Or I can be mistaken, but as long as I'm right, the Aqua Magna wasn't in a different galaxy, so the MoL should not leave that one from the picture behind, to arrive on the Bara Magna (which was already next to the Aqua Magna) — SurelNuva (Talk) 08:49, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
That did not really answer the question... This galaxy picture really is non-canon though, which is why we shouldn't use it, imo. No idea why it is used though. I would suggest the image from the Mata Nui Saga where Mata Nui is analyzing the system instead. ~ Wolk (talk) 06:18, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

I think the image is there because the Solis Magna article used to be called "Galactic Universe" (which of course is a nonsense name... but at least contains the word "galactic," so I guess a galaxy picture makes sense?). Yes, that is a non-canon image and we should pick another one.
As an aside, the name "Solis Magna" has always seemed fishy to me, because it was never mentioned in story, and I've never seen mentions of relevant Greg quotes. I've always assumed it's a fan name that slipped under the radar and onto BS01 because people used it so much. Does anyone know where it came from? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 06:44, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
Solis Magna was indeed a fan suggestion (I believe Aqua Magna and Bota Magna were too), but at one point someone ran it by Greg in the OGD and he was like "sure, that makes sense." At least that's the way I remember it.

I should get around to implementing that search feature for the archives...

I guess, calling the image non-canonical means it should not be used as the image of the system. :D (yes, I know the image has been removed, but I wanted to clarify my opinion)SurelNuva (Talk) 09:56, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for clearing that up! -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 05:13, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
