Plot Summary

A group of Roporak attack a herd of grazing Kikanalo. The Roporak use their disruptor Rhotuka to bring the Rahi down, and then advance on the Rahi, using their webbing to trap the Kikanalo.

Up above, Vakama, Norik, and Onewa look down on the chaos. Vakama questions the actions of the Visorak, and Norik explains how it is simply the way of the Visorak. Vakama, frustrated, charges up his Rhotuka and sends it toward the Visorak below. Norik tries to stop him, saying that it is just a scouting party.

Vakama hits his target, and shows Norik that he is still a Toa. Norik calls him a fool, explaining to him that the Roporak's disruptor spinners can even break fire energy, thus freeing themselves quickly. Vakama pays little attention as he dives down to fight the Visorak. Onewa comments that Vakama is used to his Hordika side; Norik thinks he's starting to like it.

At the Coliseum, Sidorak is unhappy with Roodaka. She questions why he is discontented, and he tells her that he should have killed the Toa Hordika and the Rahaga when he had the chance. Instead, he let Roodaka perform her experiments. Roodaka tells her king that her "experiments in the effect of Hordika Venom serve the shadows" and that they can be eliminated.

Meanwhile, Iruini and Matau are searching for materials for Airships. Matau questions this, because of a persisting thought that there could be a way to reverse the effects of the venom: Keetongu. Iruini shares his view on the legendary Rahi: He does not exist. Iruini then reveals that the Rahaga were once Toa as well.

Meanwhile, Nokama is testing her newfound abilities, delighted. Gaaki questions her actions, because they were supposed to be hidden, but Nokama did not care. Two Visorak suddenly attack Gaaki, with one Rhotuka hitting her straight in the face. Nokama, furious with rage, summons and charges up a Rhotuka. Unable to control her powers, she accidentally summons a storm that causes lightning to strike everywhere. Nokama is shocked by the force of her attack, as Gaaki explains that her Hordika side does not let her keep her powers in check.

In Ko-Metru, Kualus and Nuju are on a mission of their own. Kualus suddenly makes random clicks and wheets, and Nuju questions his behavior. Kualus explains that he is talking to the two birds up above, and he and Nuju get into a small argument. Above both Nuju and Kualus are two Visorak discussing about attacking the two, they ready themselves to strike Nuju and Kualus. Suddenly, Nuju thinks he hears Ehrye's voice. Nuju goes in, thinking Ehrye was there.

Suddenly two Oohnorak - one of who was imitating Ehrye's voice - come out from the shadows and attack Nuju, as Kualus hastily explains about their power to imitate trusted voices. One of them attempts to leap onto Nuju, but Nuju merely kicks it aside. Nuju then tells Kualus to get behind him as he launches many Ice Rhotuka, creating an ice dome. With nowhere to go but down, Nuju and Kualus enter the sewers.

While down there, Kualus tells Nuju that the Rahaga have actually been living down in the sewers for years, and that they planned to beat the Visorak here, stop them, then retake the other lands the hordes had overrun. Suddenly, a giant Kahgarak appears behind them.
