The Akaku Nuva is the Kanohi Nuva Mask of X-Ray Vision, created when a destined Kanohi Akaku is dipped in Energized Protodermis. It allows its user and those nearby to see through objects and illusions.[C8, p. 19] They are fitted with a telescopic lens to give the user(s) enhanced viewing. This mask's power cannot pierce certain materials such as Karda Nui's mist and the Metru Nui dome. Only Toa Nuva can use this mask.

Example Usage

Kopaka used his Akaku Nuva to give himself, Tahu, and Gali X-ray vision to examine their surroundings for traps during one of their quests for the Kanohi Nuva in Tales of the Masks.

Trivia

  • The Toa Nuva's original Akaku Nuva all had their telescopic lenses on the wearer's right side. However, Kopaka's Adaptive Armor mask had its lens on the wearer's left.
